A CAST OF CHARACTERS

“THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST”

  • Nicko Chryssomitis

    Jack Worthing

This production celebrates Nicko's return to the stage after over a decade, his last role being Felix Turner in OBSP's “The Normal Heart” back in 2015. It also marks his third return to CP, having appeared in past productions as Eddie in “It's Murder in The Wings!” and Claudio in “Much Ado About Nothing.” Other favorite roles include The Baker from “Into the Woods” and Eugene from “Brighton Beach Memoirs.”

He'd like to thank his mom for her unwavering support and love, Dr. Gross(face) for the motivation, Mike for his faith, friends and family who attended, production team, cast, crew (the true heros), sponsors, donors, anyone I may have left out, and EVERYONE who sacrificed any time or effort to make this a reality.

  • Tyler Davis

    Algernon Moncrieff

Tyler Ian Davis (Algernon) is very excited to be back at Cumberland Players. He was recently seen here in Carrie the Musical as Billy Nolan and Post Grad (Colton). Other recent productions include The Wedding Singer (Sammy) and Sweeney Todd (Ensemble) at the Levoy Theater. When not on stage, Tyler works professionally as a Lighting Designer. Recent works include productions for the South Jersey community, including Something Rotten Jr and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown here at CP. Beetlejuice Jr. and Puffs at the Levoy as well as Oklahoma and Spring Awakening at the Eagle Theater in Hammonton. Most recently, Tyler traveled with Emerson, Lake and Palmer as their touring LD and will be doing so again in the future.

  • Shaun Laurencio

    Lady Bracknell

Shaun Laurencio is excited to make his debut on the Cumberland Players Stage. Not too excited like in an off putting and overt way, but overall a reasonable amount of commonplace excitement like the kind you get when you order a dessert at the restaurant "just to be bad" but you know there's a second dessert waiting for you at home. Shaun enjoys rambling, superfluous verbage, and general but aimlessly meandering conversation.  After directing, assistant directing, costuming, set designing, and running a fundraiser cabaret all at CP, Shaun realized it probably just makes sense to do at least one of their shows. So that's what he did and that explains why he's here, officer. So far, he has not regretted the decision.

  • Maura Mather Jarve

    Gwendolen Fairfax

Maura Mather (Gwendolyn) is delighted to return to the CP stage, and thanks Mike for the opportunity. Previous credits include Elizabeth Proctor (The Crucible), winner of the 2018 Little Theatre Award for Best Actress, Izzy (Rabbit Hole), Stella (A Streetcar Named Desire), Terry (Extremities), April (Company), Ruth (Blithe Spirit), and Chris Gorman (Rumors). Other credits include Violet (9 to 5) Levoy Theatre, Olivia (Twelfth Night) with For The Whim Productions, and Alison (Fun Home) at HP&P. She earned OBSP Wally Awards for Maggie (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) and Betty (White Christmas). Directorial credits include Sweeney Todd, The Wizard of Oz, White Christmas, and Cinderella at Levoy Theatre, as well as 5 Women Wearing the Same Dress, & The Raven at CP.

  • Allie Ferguson

    Cecily Cardew

Allison Ferguson is thrilled to be making her stage debut with Cumberland Players. She is currently studying acting at Playhouse West in Philadelphia, where she continues to develop her craft. Previous performances include Emma in Terms of Endearment, as well as appearances in several short films. Allie is grateful for the support of her family and friends and would especially like to thank Michael for this opportunity.

  • Bobbi Kukal

    Miss Prism

Bobbi is thrilled to be returning to the Cumberland Players’ stage. She has been involved with CP since 2000 when she debuted as the Wicked Witch of the West (Dorothy and the Wizard) and then as Anne Sullivan (The Miracle Worker). She last appeared here as Sonia (Vanya, Sonia, Masha and Spike) and brought to life many memorable roles in between. Bobbi would like to thank Michael for bringing her back to this stage and the entire cast and crew for making it such an enjoyable experience. As always, she would also like to thank her husband for all his love and support; without which, she wouldn’t be able to grace the stage.

  • Dan Safeer

    Rev. Canon Chasuble, D.D

Dan is a graduate of Stockton University, where he earned his BA in Performing Arts, and was most recently seen at Cumberland Players portraying four different characters in Almost, Maine. He is pleased to add Canon Chasuble to his ever-growing rogues’ gallery of roles. Notable performances include the Duke in Measure for Measure, Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night, and the adult Ralph in A Christmas Story, which earned him the Pat King Award for Best Actor.

When not on stage, Dan is a proud father to Xander and continues to bravely cope with the heartbreak of raising a child who showed early promise in music and theater, only to abandon it all for sports. He remains hopeful. Somewhat.

  • Robert Williamson

    Merriman/Lane

Rob is thrilled to make his Cumberland Players debut on and off stage, in a show that’s very dear to him. As a performer Rob was last seen at Cirillo Summer Theatre in Windsor, CT, in their productions of Sweeney Todd (Anthony), Into the Woods (Cinderella’s Prince/The Wolf), and The Addams Family (Gomez). As a designer, Rob’s credits include, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged, Murder on The Orient Express, The Game’s Afoot, for which he won a regional critics pick for costumes, and Dreamgirls (Little Theatre of Manchester). Rob would also like to thank his incredible husband, Jordan, for being so supportive despite fabric taking over the house.
